Emeri Grace Gayer, infant daughter of Jacob Tyler and Megan May (Roemer) Gayer, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 4:37 PM, at McPherson Hospital. She was born on June 11, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

Emeri is survived by: her parents of the home; brother, Elijah Cruz Gayer of the home; grandparents, Beverly and Randy Roemer of Healy, KS, Dawnelle Adcock of McPherson, KS, Jeff and Valerie Gayer of Wichita, KS; great-grandma, Imojean Frantz of McPherson, KS; great-grandparents, Larry and Berniece Gayer of McPherson, KS; aunts and uncles, Chris and Sheila Roemer of Flagler, CO, Joshua Roemer of Overland Park, KS, and Lacey and Keith Jones of Topeka, KS; numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by uncle, Brandon Adcock of McPherson, KS, great-grandparents, Dean and R. Gaye Wilson of Gove, KS, Duane A. “Pete” and Elaine Roemer of Healy, KS, Merlin Frantz of McPherson, KS, and Betty Hibbett of McPherson, KS.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, October 10, 2014, at McPherson Church of the Brethren with Rev. Chris Whitacre, Rev. Kathryn Whitacre, and Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, Oct. 9, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Emeri was very loved by her family and extended family and will be dearly missed. Posthumously, Emeri donated tissue from her heart so that two babies struggling in life might be given a second chance. Her parents, brother, and family will dearly miss her. Though she didn’t live a long life, it was full of joy and happiness, and her memory will continue to bring happiness to those people that knew and were touched by her smiles, laughs, and fun loving nature.
