Dorcas Campbell

Dorcas J. Campbell, 81, of McPherson and formerly of Rockville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at The Cedars, McPherson. Dorcas was born on July 25, 1927, in Seekonk, MA, the daughter of Fred A. and Jennie (Kindred) VanSickle. On September 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Myles C. Campbell. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2003. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for Martin & Cagley Structural Engineers and Asbury Methodist Home.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 4, 2008, at DeVol Funeral Home, Gaithersburg, MD. Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at DeVol Funeral Home.

Her survivors include: son, Tim Campbell; daughters, M. Jean Ballew of McPherson, Gloria Campbell and Esther Miller; sister, Clara Jones; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Myles C. Campbell.
