C. Geraldine "Gerry" Collett, 87, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman, Illinois. She was born on November 19, 1919, at Marshall, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jessie Paul and Sadie Johanna (Weber) DeBoard. She graduated from high school at Covington, OK in 1938. On May 26, 1938, in Covington, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to George W. Collett, Jr. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2001. Gerry was a homemaker and also worked at Farmer's Alliance in McPherson, Oakdale Christian High School in Jackson, KY, and Central Christian College in McPherson, KS, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of the McPherson Free Methodist Church.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 13, 2007, at the McPherson Free Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Griffith officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 PM Thursday at the Cashion Cemetery in Cashion, OK, with Rev. Hugh Wayman officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Her survivors include: sons, John D. Collett of Goodland, KS, Gerald W. Collett, Sr. of Chrisman, IL, and E.Dwain Collett of Mount Pleasant, IA; a daughter, Coleta J. Steers of McPherson; a brother, Robert DeBoard of Allen, TX; sisters, Virginia Braley of Casper, WY and JoAnn Touchstone of Enid, OK; 9 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
