Chloris Sorenson

Chloris A. (Grout) Sorenson, 89, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at her home in McPherson. She was a retired teacher and homemaker.

The funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, at the Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: three sons, Lynn Sorenson of Kansas City, KS, Gayle Sorenson of Houston, TX, and Donald Sorenson of Holcomb, KS; two brothers, Dean Grout of Aiken, SC and Elmer Grout of Aurora, CO; a sister, Marguerite Armstrong of McPherson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her son, David, and by her husband, Maurice.
