Bertha Harper

Bertha Harper, 89, of McPherson, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at The Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson. She was a homemaker, and had previously worked as a guest ranch cook and a school cafeteria cook.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 25, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The body will be cremated following the service with the cremains to be scattered in Colorado at a later date. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: her longtime companion, Lowell Hull of McPherson; two daughters, Jo Ann Burgin of Gordonville, TX and Mickie Howe of Los Alamos, NM; a step-son, Arthur Harper of Stuart, FL; a brother, Alvin B. Krumrey of Miami, OK; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
