Benjamin Richter

Benjamin A. "Ben" Richter, 18, of McPherson, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Ben was born December 18, 1988, in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Matthew D. Richter and Allison L. Gullborg. He was enrolled as a first year student at Hutchinson Community College and was a 2007 graduate of McPherson High School.

Ben played guitar in the High school Jazz Band, played the bass in the High School Orchestra, High School Wrestling Team (all four years), played football in his Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years, participated in the High School Drama Department, and played in numerous "Buck-Buck" tournaments.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 31, at Countryside Covenant Church. Visitation with family is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 30, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Private inurnment service will take place at McPherson Cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include: his parents, Matthew Richter & Allison Gullborg of McPherson; a sister, Kiya Richter of McPherson; brother, Zane Richter of McPherson; grandfather, Daryl Richter of Topeka, KS; several aunts, uncles, & cousins.
