Art Schultz

Arthur "Art" Wilhelm Schultz, 77, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at McPherson Care Center. He was born on February 7, 1935, in Hillsboro, KS, the son of Julius and Mary (Seitz) Schultz. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Tabor College.

Art was united in marriage to Judy E. Tipton on January 17, 1960, at the First United Methodist Church in McPherson, KS. Together they owned & operated the Hill Crest Motel and Circle S Mobile Home Park in Hillsboro, KS. They also owned & operated the City Cafe and other properties. Art had many other jobs over the years including the Woolworth Company, Becker Tire, McPherson College, The Cedars, and most recently, Dillon's.

Art was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: his wife, Judy (Tipton) Schultz of McPherson, KS; cousins, Ken & Dixie Ingram; Judy's aunt & uncle, Marie & Wallace Bacon; and Judy's cousins, Todd & Barb Bacon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harvey Schultz.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.

In accordance with the deceased's wishes, the body has been bequeathed to the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City.
