Addison V. Ellwood

Addison V. Ellwood, 95, of McPherson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the McPherson Hospital. He was a retired farmer and rancher.

He was born on November 13, 1918, in McPherson County, Kanas, the son of Charles E. and Lillie Cordelia (Lindquist) Ellwood. On September 12, 1948, Addison was united in marriage to Florence M. Snodgrass in McPherson, Kansas. She preceded him in death on September 24, 2000.

Addison was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: daughter, Michele Grover and husband, Mike, of Hesston, KS; four grandchildren, Melissa Kindel of Salina, KS, Jamie Welsch of Salina, KS, Jason Keezer of Lawrence, KS, and Mandy Keezer-Wright of Tonganoxie, KS; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and eight siblings.

The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014, at the McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Tim Leaf officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held prior to the service on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
